Yes! E-scooters are fully legal in New York City. New York State legalized e-scooters, and NYC allows them on streets and bike lanes with a maximum speed of 15 mph. Riders must be at least 16 years old. Helmets are strongly recommended for all riders and required for those under 18. All of our scooters are fully street-legal and comply with NYC regulations.

You can ride e-scooters on NYC streets, bike lanes, and greenways. Popular routes include the Hudson River Greenway, Central Park loop, Brooklyn Bridge path, and the East River Esplanade. E-scooters are not allowed on sidewalks or in areas where bicycles are prohibited. We recommend sticking to protected bike lanes for the safest experience.
